In the early 20th century, this area was already known for its incredible fishing opportunities. Visitors were struck by the carpets of ground lichen and the exceptional Arctic vegetation at this latitude. They thus named it the Grands-Jardins-the Great Gardens. Today, Parc national des Grands-Jardins is still visited by anglers and also by hikers, campers, and vacationers. It has the privilege of forming one of the core zones of the Charlevoix Biosphere Reserve, a status granted to the region by UNESCO.


Situated at the confluence of the St. Lawrence River and the Saguenay Fjord, Tadoussac and Baie-Ste-Catherine are the main entrance to the most beautiful whale watching site in the world! This exceptional environment is teeming with rich food for marine mammals, making it a privileged destination for an unparalleled experience with nature.


Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie was named after a series of valleys cut deep into a range of high mountains.The Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie are among the highest rock faces East of the Rockies! Steep slopes, beautiful natural surroundings, and the unusual course of Rivière Malbaie make this an exceptional site. Come and take a voyage into the heart of the Land of Menaud, where time stops but the spectacle goes on and on. This national park has the privilege of being one of the core zones of the Charlevoix Biosphere Reserve.

A 2 km from our Inn is a beautiful golf course with 18 holes where novices and experts are welcome. The golf course at the Manoir Richelieu Pointe-au-Pic, offers also a lot of fun for golfers.
